Sire (Azriel) pending DNA

Sale Terms

Our goal is to raise quality Nigerian Dwarf goats bred for good confirmation, hand milking, personality, and performance.

HEALTH

All animals that leave our farm will be healthy and disease free. We will not be responsible for the health of any animal once it has left our custody. If an animal was purchased and happens to die before it leaves our farm the money will be refunded.

All goats will be registered and tattooed. All kids are disbudded. If you prefer your goats with horns, a nonrefundable payment of the full purchase price must be received before dusbudding, which is usually at 7-10 days old.

Goats are tested for CAE, CL, Johne’s and Q-fever. We have never had a positive result and will be happy to show you results from our most recent tests.

All of the goats at Irish Acres are of high quality. Though we breed our goats for betterment of the breed, not all goats meet our expectations. This is sometimes obvious at an early age. In most cases, you will not know the quality of the animal until it has matured. For does, after they freshen. For bucks, after their daughters freshen. In the case of a doe, she may have a beautiful first freshen udder and the coming years doesn't show as great of potential. On the other hand, a doe's first freshen udder may not be the greatest but allowing the doe time to mature may show mass improvement. In the case of a buck, his proof of quality is in the daughters he throws. Ideally, beautiful daughters with full udders out of different dams. When purchasing a young goat, there is no guarantee it will be great quality. Even if the goat is of great quality, there is no guarantee it will blend well with your goat's genetics. Every breeding is a gamble. Sometimes genes from two outstanding lines do not blend well genetically.

VACCINATIONS

Because of our commitment to natural health and the body’s own healing abilities, we do not and will not vaccinate goats on our farm. Should you choose to vaccinate an animal you purchase from us, it will be at your expense and after you have taken possession of the animal.

REGISTRATION

Goats will be registered with ADGA. If your goat has not yet been named by us you can provide us with up t three name choices and we will do our best to accommodate them. When selecting a name, try to choose two words two help ensure unique options for future kids born. Ex: Mr. Serendipity, Lovey Dovey, Rose Pavlova, Cupid’s Arrow, etc.

DEPOSITS

Deposits are typically half of the selling price of an animal and must be received within 24 hours in order for us to hold an animal for you. I recommend making deposits using a credit card, PayPal, or Venmo to ensure they are received in time. Unless the animal you are buying becomes unavailable for some reason, deposits are not refundable, but may be transferred to another animal. We reserve the right to withdraw any animal from availability for any reason at any time. If this happens we will refund your deposit.

BUYING A SINGLE KID

We do not sell single to kids to homes with no other kids. Even if you have an existing herd, a single kid can wind up being bullied and not fitting in.

PAYMENT

Payment can be made via cash, check, credit card, PayPal or Venmo and must be cleared and the animal paid in full before it can leave our farm.

BOARDING/CARE FEE

Animals must be picked up or shipped within seven days after your agreement to purchase or the date  the animal is available (weaning date for kids). If you cannot take possession of your animal within seven days, a care fee oof $3 per day may be assessed and will be due before the animal will be released to you. If this fee is not paid for the animal not picked up within two weeks after the sale date, the animal will be considered abandoned and will be resisted fr sale. Any funds paid will be forfeit by the buyer and applied to the cost of caring for and advertising the animal.
